Residential Care at Pilgrim Wood
Residential Care at Pilgrim Wood
Most of us, given a choice, would choose to remain within our own homes for the rest of our lives. However, for some of us, this will not always be possible as we may need additional support to help us to maintain our physical or psychological well-being.
Pilgrim Wood’s traditional and homely feel make this transition that little bit easier.
We provide 24-hour care and support to our residents. All of our bedrooms are fitted with a modern call-bell system, and staff are always on hand to help residents with personal care needs such as helping them wash, dress, use the bathroom and engage in social or physical activities.
Should the need arise, our local District Nurse team is available to assist when necessary with more specific medical needs such as administering certain medicines and the treatment of any complex wounds, meaning that residents rarely need to move on to another care facility in the event of their health declining. Procedures are also in place to enable end of life care to be carried out here at Pilgrim Wood, so residents need not leave the home during those difficult final periods, unless absolutely necessary.
