Welcome to

Pilgrim Wood Residential & Dementia Care Home

Pilgrim Wood Residential & Dementia Care Home is a 35-bed care home, specialising in elderly care including those suffering with dementia, located in Guildford, Surrey, and just a short distance from Godalming.

Situated in three acres of grounds in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close to the North Downs Way, we are conveniently placed only two miles from the centre of Guildford.

All of our bedrooms are spacious and well equipped and have been designed to make sure our residents feel at home in the warm and comfortable settings, within glorious landscapes and surrounded by superb countryside views.

We like to think of Pilgrim Wood as a care home that your loved one will recognise as a home, not a hospital or hotel.

“My granny Mary G Kennard lives there and I heard that she is much more settled now in her new home which makes me so happy.”

~ Nicky N

“I would like to comment on the professional and compassionate care received by my mother at Pilgrim Wood. In her last months at the home, she was very disabled and totally dependent on the staff. She was treated with kindness, dignity and respect and also was able to develop a rapport with individual staff, because of the continuity in staffing. This gave her and all the family confidence that her needs were known and considered and that she was amongst friends.

My mum particularly liked the home cooked food and fresh vegetables, as well as desserts and home baked cakes. The last food I helped her to eat was a beautiful fresh banana mousse and a dish of chopped nectarines and pears... because she loved fruit.

The home has been recently redecorated in parts and is very clean. It has been a very positive experience seeing exactly what care can be provided to a vulnerable older person, who was never made to feel that way but always treated with friendliness, humour and respect.”
