Paying for Care

When the decision has finally been made that it is no longer practical or safe to live in your or your loved one's own home, there are so many things to consider in terms of residential care. Where will I/they live, will they be safe, will they be happy, what about the food, the staff, the other residents? It's enough to make your head spin!

And then there's the money, by no means a small consideration. Once this momentous decision has been made, contact your local council and you will be assigned a Social Worker who will visit you, be it at home or in hospital, depending on your circumstances.  They’ll ask you a series of questions, from which they will formulate a "plan of action" in terms of finding and funding the right care just for you.

Fortunately, as well as your local Social Services departments, there are many organisations who can advise you about any financial assistance you may be eligible to apply for; contact us and we will be happy to pass on the details of those in the Guildford area who can help you or your loved one in that area of concern.

Our standard single room is priced from £1,680 per week and upwards, depending on the size and location of the room within the house. All of our bedrooms have en-suite sink and toilet facilities, however some are larger than others, whilst some have views over the surrounding countryside. Whichever room you choose to go for, the fee will be inclusive of all meals, housekeeping, laundry and in-house activities.

Taking this step can be one of the toughest decisions in later life, and we’re here to help in any way we can. You may feel that our Homecare service is a gentler start to receiving dementia support.
